Don’t Grow Weary
Transcript
Paul bought his daughter a dog: a purebred from a respected breeder. But first, Paul made sure the pup saw the vet and had her shots.
Then, two days later, the dog fell deathly ill. The family vet could not save her. "But what did we do wrong?" Paul asked. The answer was, "Nothing." No routine exam would have caught the infection. All the right shots could not cover this illness.
This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. The Bible calls us to always do right, yet gives no guarantee of right outcomes. And while life is often unfair, we know that God is just. Because we trust, we do not grow weary in doing right . . . in the high calling of our daily work.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal. 6:9)
